PURPOSE:To obtain a clear plastic plate which is excellent in mar resistance, by forming a polymer by polymerizing a (meth)acrylic ester having an alicyclic hydrocarbon group in its ester moiety and an unsatd. monomer. CONSTITUTION:The title product is a plastic plate consisting of a polymer obtd. by polymerizing 98-5wt.% methacrylic or acrylic ester having a 5-22C alicyclic hydrocarbon group in its ester moiety and 2-95wt.% at least one member of other copolymerizable unsatd. monomers. The polymer used is pref. one having Rockwell hardness (R scale) of at least 125, more pref. at least 127. In respect of heat resistance, the resin ingredient should pref. have a glass transition point of at least 125 deg.C. The polymer should pref. have a wt.-average MW in a range of 10 thousand -1 million, and the polymer in such a range is especially suitable for use as molding material. |
