PURPOSE:To monitor and display communication data, by making it possible to select a data line to be monitored and detecting a specific pattern appearing on the line to be monitored and using this pattern as an origin to record fixed- length data in a memory device and monitoring and displaying this data after recording is terminated. CONSTITUTION:A line to be monitored, a data pattern indicating the recording start, a data length recorded in one recording, and the number of times of recording are indicated to a monitor controller 9 by an operating part 10. The monitor controller 9 controls a selective connecting device 4 to connect the line to be monitored to a trigger detecting device 6j. The trigger detecting device 6j compares communication data with the set data pattern; and when they coincide with each other, a trigger signal is outputted to the monitor controller 9. When receiving this signal, the monitor controller 9 starts a memory controller 7, and data is recorded in a memory device 8 up to a prescribed data length. When the write of data having the designated length is terminated, it is reported to the monitor controller 9, and the monitor controller 9 displays recorded communication data on a display part 11. |
