PURPOSE:To enable the use of a continuous sheet of paper with a paper feeding device kept loaded on a printer by discharging a sheet of sheet type paper onto a discharged paper housing part when a discharged paper guide is positioned at one rotation angle while discharging a continuous sheet of paper to a different direction when the guide is positioned at the other rotation angle. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of sheet type paper 13 which is sent out by a paper feed roller 3 is transferred up to a platen 5, printed by a printing head 7, and discharged into a discharged paper housing part 9 by means of a paper discharging roller 10. Then, a discharged paper guide 11 is rotated in the discharging direction position of a continuous sheet of paper and locked, and the continuous sheet of paper which is fed by a push tractor 15 is printed by the printing head 7 and, then, transferred by the discharging roller 10 and discharged in front of a paper feeding device along the rib of the discharged paper guide 11. Thus, the switchover of a discharging route can be carried out with a simple operation, enabling the continuous sheet of paper to be housed in a housing part different from the sheet type paper housing part 9, while also enabling the use of the continuous sheet of paper with a printer kept loaded on the paper feeding device.
