摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To avoid hindrance to the transmission of pressure wave due to existence of a primary valve of a secondary valve, by disposing an expansion chamber having a connecting passage on the downstream side of the primary valve or the secondary valve. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is operated at a high speed of 5,000-7,000rpm, intake air is supplied to cylinders 1A, 1B from both of high-load intake passages 10a, 10b and low-load intake passages 9a, 9b. Here, if the lengths of the intake passages 10a, 10b are selected appropriately on the basis of high-speed (5,000- 7,000rpm) operation of the engine, compression wave produced near a high-load intake port 14 of the second high-load intake passage 10b when a high-load intake port 20 of one of the two cylinders, for instance, the second cylinder 1B is opened is transmitted to a port 14 of the first cylinder 1A at the end of suction stroke via the second high-load intake passage 10b, an expansion chamber 17 having a connecting passage, and the first high-load intake passage 10a.</p>
