PURPOSE:To shorten the length of a used transmission line by transmitting a video signal from each camera device by using one and the same transmission line, turning each camera successively on and off and switching the image. CONSTITUTION:When automatic switching of a camera is instructed from an equipment operation input part 5, and detected by a communication control part 3 of an AV controller CT 2, the control part 3 transmits a using request of a camera device 7 through a base part of a coaxial cable 1. When a communication control part 8 of the device 7 receives said request, a control part 11 modulates a video signal of a camera 9 by a modulator 10, transmits it through a broad band part of the cable 1, and also, transmits ON information of the camera 9 to the AVCT 2 through the base band part of the cable 1. A control part 6 receives its information and transmits a use end request of the device 7 through the base band part of the cable 1 after a prescrived time. When the control part 8 receives it, the control part 11 ends an operation of the modulator 10 and the camera 9, transmits its information to the AVCT 2 through the base band part of the cable 1, and when it is received, the using request is executed immediately to the next camera device, and the similar control is executed successively.
