PURPOSE:To contrive prevention of deterioration caused by regenerated light, improvement of preservability against light and simplification of a manufacturing process, by providing a recording layer comprising a light-absorptive reflective coloring matter and a transition metal complex, on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer comprising a light-absorptive reflective coloring matter and a transition metal complex of the formula is provided on a substrate. The compound of the formula may be, for example, (dithio-p- fluorobenzyl)-(1,2-dicyanoethylenethiolate)Ni (II). In the formula, each of R1 and R2 is F, Cl or Br, M is Ni, Pd or Pt, n is 1 or 2, and Y is a cation. The cation component is preferably quaternary ammonium or quaternary phosphonium, and may be a tetraethylammonium cation, a tetra-n- butylammonium cation or the like. The light-absorptive reflective coloring matter, particularly, a polymethine coloring matter for use as a main constituent of the recording layer may be, for example, a cyanine coloring matter or a merocyanine coloring matter. |
