<p>PURPOSE:To minimize a degradation in an opening rate and to obtain a display panel of a large area at a high display density by alternately reversing the condition directions of spare diodes connectable selectively to picture element electrodes along driving electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Normal diode pairs 30 are disposed in the lower right part of 3 pieces of the electrodes 11-13 in the picture element electrodes 10 arrayed along the driving electrodes 20 and the spare diode 41 common to the electrodes 11, 12 is disposed alongside the diode pair 30 for the electrode 11; similarly, the spare diode 42 common to the electrodes 12, 13 is disposed alongside the diode pair for the electrode 12. As a result, the degradation in the opening rate is minimized. A means 50 are selecting the connections of the spare diodes and the electrodes is provided with connecting means 51(53), 52(54). The spare diodes 40 are alternately provided like 40p, 40n on a positive side and negative side along the electrodes 20 in an equiv. circuit of the panel.</p> |
