PURPOSE:To make a liquid-tight holding characteristic good as well as to improve reliability by connecting an earth piston, which is screwed with an adjuster screw having a clutch member to be engaged with an adjuster piston with a reversible screw, to a cylinder body through a spline. CONSTITUTION:An earth piston 2 is connected to a cylinder body 1 at the rear side of a projection 2a with a spline tooth and a spline 7, while its reset position is regulated at a rear end of the projection 2a, and it inserts an adjuster piston 3 through. A clutch member 10 is connected unrotatably to an adjuster screw 16, and a clutch 11 is constituted of a clutch surface 10a and a clutch surface 3c of the adjuster piston 3 and an elastic body 12. In addition, the adjuster screw 16 and the earth piston 2 are screwed together by a reversible screw 18 with the specified backlash. Consequently, liquid-tight holding capacity and rust preventability are good, reliability is high and overadjustment is prevented from occurring and, what is more, adjustment for an operating clearance can be done efficiently.
