PURPOSE:To protect important operation by preventing the operation being an object of stop inhibition from being stopped even when a stop key is depressed. CONSTITUTION:A control section 1 controls the entire system and controls the storage of picture data received via various communication control sections 5a-5c, output it to a printer 3, and communication of the picture read from the reader 2 via the sections 5a-5c. Moreover, the control section 1 controls the copying of the picture read from the reader 2 onto the printer 3. The control section 1 is provided with a stop inhibition means, inhibiting the stop of a prescribed operation in depressing a stop key.
