The clamping device serves for the detachable non-positive fastening of hubs on shafts and the like. It consists of a meander-shaped cylindrical ring which forms clamping segments with an articulated-lever effect and which is arranged positively between shaft and hub and is actuated in a radially clamping manner by a number of conical spreading elements which are accommodated in conical bores with elasticity bores assigned on both sides. To this end, the spreading ring (1) is made in one piece, its conical bores (4) having slots (5) to the outer circumference of the spreading ring (1) and its elasticity bores (7) having slots (8) to the inner circumference of the spreading ring (1). <IMAGE>
