PURPOSE:To always carry out stable developing processes by using a less quantity of a developing agent, by detecting the thickness of a photosensitive material while it is carried and forming a clearance corresponding to the thickness of the photosensitive material between the photosensitive material and a liquid film controlling member after practically used developing solution is supplied on the photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The clearance between a PS plate and liquid film thickness controlling roller 5 is adjusted by means of the roller 5 which is controlled by the signal of thickness detecting rollers 2 so that a regular quantity of developing solution can be supplied to the PS plate through a developing solution supplying pipe 4 and developing solution supplying member 4'. The PS plate with the regular quantity of practically unused developing solution on its print passes through roughening rollers 6. Once used but practically usable developing solution is stored in a developing solution tank 11 and sprayed upon the PS plate after passing through the rollers 6 from a developing solution circulating nozzle 7 with a circulating pump 12. Therefore, the PS plate can be developed with a less quantity of developing solution and, at the same time, the developing uniformity of the PS plate is improved. |
