Fixing device for the spindle of a pneumatic spring, especially in motor vehicle suspensions

It is proposed to allow both pneumatic and coil springs of a motor vehicle suspension to be fitted conventionally. The fixing device comprises a spindle composed of plastic, on the foot surface of which a downwardly directed recess is arranged, in which an annular body is located. At the same time a retaining element is used, which has teeth directed radially inwards which, when assembled, bear on the annular body. The retaining element also has tongues directed radially outwards which, when assembled, bear on a lip of a collar located on the fixing plate, which lip defines the opening width of the collar. The spindle is brought into its correct position by a snap movement and can be withdrawn from the assembly plate again by means of a lifting tool.
