<p>PURPOSE:To receive a message even if an idle buffer cannot be secured by requesting the assembly of a message to a host processor when a reception message assembly node cannot secure an idle buffer in its own node. CONSTITUTION:A reception processing section 11 of a communication controller receives a packet from a terminal controller, a threshold value deciding section 17 compares the number of idle buffers in an idle buffer area 4 and a threshold value area 5 with a threshold value, and a mode management section 16 revises a message assembly disable mode into the mode, the number of idle buffers is not a threshold value or over, a mode change notice section 19 applies mode revision notice to a host processor via a transmission processing section 20, and the transmission processing section 20 sends a message to the host processor on the way of assembly. Thus, even when an idle buffer cannot be secured, the node can receive a message and the reduction of the throughput of message transfer is not caused.</p> |
