The invention relates to an electrical installation apparatus, especially a plug socket, having a folding cover which covers a plug receptacle or the like in its closed position and is connected by means of a metallic bracket to a cover, such as a covering frame. In order to achieve a connection which is simple to install and is at the same time permanent between the folding cover and the covering frame, an accommodation space is provided in the covering frame as a mounting for the bracket, which can pivot, of the folding cover, which accommodation space is surrounded by walls and is open on one side. The missing wall of this mounting is formed by a holder which can be detachably connected to the covering frame. The holder is in this case constructed such that it can be latched to the covering frame.
