<p>PURPOSE:To permit a writer to operate an input pen in a same way as the writing by means of a brush so as to obtain a sweep and a run, and to generate a faithful calligraphic style by providing a sweep detector, a sweep control switch, a pattern generation mechanism or the like. CONSTITUTION:The sweep detector 7 always supervises position coordinate information of the pen, which is transmitted from a coordinate reader 1 and sweep generation information by the sweep control switch 8 for instructing the generation of the sweep (including the run), and it detects the timing of sweep generation. The detector 7 decides width information and position information of a sweep pattern, transmits them to the pattern generation mechanism 9, and sets it to display the sweep. In such a case, the brush like sweep and run consisting of the character string of a brush tip form, whose size sequentially reduces, based on the floating quantity in the part of the sweep and the run after the drawing stroke trailing end of the input pen and a continuous coordinate sampled value string are synthesized and added. Thus, the writer can obtain the sweep and the run by operating the input pen in the same way as the writing by the brush, and can generate the faithful calligraphic style.</p> |
