Monostable electromagnetic relay

A monostable electromagnetic relay having an armature, a permanent magnet and a coil, in the case of which relay the permanent magnet is arranged on a two-piece yoke. In the case of such a relay, in order to achieve a high holding force and thus high vibration resistance and shock resistance with a very simple construction, it is provided for the two-piece yoke (1) to bound two airgaps (8, 9) in which an unpolarised armature (2, 2') engages which has two mutually isolated sections (40, 41), one of these airgaps (8, 9) being bounded by polarised pole surfaces (5, 6') of the same polarity when the coil (4) is not energised. <IMAGE>
