A building constructed from reinforced concrete has a balcony (3) joined to the respective floor (2) at its junction with the wall (1). A section (4) of thermally insulating material is placed between the edge of the floor (2) and the balcony. The balcony is connected to the floor by steel reinforcing bars which run diagonally through the insulating section and resist the shear forces imposed on the balcony. The reinforcing bar is made of stainless steel or steel with a corrosion protective treatment. |
