The supporting device includes a bolt (43) which is pivot-mounted in a bearing block (7), the latter being fixed on a base frame (6) on base (B). The actuating lever is mounted at its bottom end on the bolt (43) which is arranged normal to the lever. The bearing block (7) is made of a plastics material or synthetic resin, and includes a semi-circular shaped larger periphery. A central region of at least one edge of the orifice in the encirclement (clamping) slot of the bearing block (7) is provided with a slot for accommodating the actuation lever as the latter is pivotted to and fro.
