In order to produce a secondary ringing unit (TZG) for telephone systems operating according to the ISDN system, comprising an immovably attachable housing with a sound source disposed in the housing and sound passage apertures formed in front of the sound source, it is proposed that a pcb be attached in the housing (1), to serve as a carrier for the electrical and electronic functional components (DC/DC converter (6), optocoupler, ringer IC (5), piezo-electric transducer) and for operating parts (potentiometers (7, 8)) with drum-shaped handling, the connection terminals furthermore being disposed on the pcb, that the connection terminals (SV1, SV2) provided for connection to the voltage supply (Network, Termination) be connected via the low-loss DC/DC converter (6) to the ringer IC (5), that the connection terminals (M1, W) provided for connection to a Y interface be connected via the optocoupler to the ringer IC (5) and that the ringer IC (5) be connected to the piezo-electric transducer, the latter's acoustic pattern and sound level being settable by means of the potentiometers (7, 8). <IMAGE>
