The invention relates to a sliding bearing bush, consisting essentially of thermoplastic material, the sliding surface of which is armoured with threads and which is lubricated with grease. In order, in the case of economical production, to keep the increase in play during the service life especially low, it is proposed according to the invention that a large number of threads runs transversely to the direction of movement on the radially internal surface which forms the bearing surface, the bearing surface being formed essentially only by the threads running transversely, that the lubricant is stored in the pockets arising between the threads, and that the threads are formed exclusively from synthetic fibres of high mechanical strength. The transversely running threads form ramps for the lubricant, on which the bearing force of the bearing arises.
