In the loudspeaker according to the main application, the frame consists of a multiplicity of single parts. This results in high production outlay and leads to a spread in the acoustic characteristics of various specimens of the loudspeaker. The novel loudspeaker is intended to be simpler and more inexpensive in production and its acoustic characteristics should be uniform. The novel loudspeaker is characterized by the fact that the frame (10) consists of two frame parts (13, 14) which are in each case of one piece and which are connected to one another in the plane of the diaphragm (11) whilst at the same time clamping the latter. The number of single parts is thus distinctly reduced, the frame becomes more rugged and the frame parts can be manufactured as inexpensive injection-moulded plastic parts or plastic foam parts, preferably of polyurethane. The novel loudspeaker is suitable as high-frequency or high and medium-frequency system for loudspeaker enclosures with high quality requirements. <IMAGE>
