The load-bearing structure of the add-on balcony is composed of two load-bearing members, which are to be anchored vertically on the building wall, and of two load-bearing members (12) which are screwed horizontally in the manner of brackets on the load-bearing members. The two load-bearing members (10, 12) are U-profiles. A load-bearing profile panel (13) is braced between the horizontal load-bearing members. It is possible to fit refractory cladding panels (14, 15, 16) on the sides and bottom of the horizontal load-bearing members (12). Moreover, the floor covering can be spread out on a floor panel (18), jutting out beyond the load-bearing members. Finally, the railing supports (24) may also be mounted in the manner of brackets outside the floor. <IMAGE>
