Polygon drawing template

For draughtsmen, in the great majority of cases, rigid, i.e. predetermined figure cutouts on sheets are supplied which are intended to facilitate repeated drawing of the same figure. These templates with punched-out figures are useless if figures with a varying number of corners are to be designed or if intermediate sizes of certain figures are to be produced which are not represented on the template. With the polygon drawing template, the number of corners and the size thereof can be varied by steps, using only a single device. The lengths of the sides can be set as desired. The polygon drawing template consists of a plurality of structurally identical triangular segments (Fig. 1), which are displaceable along the edges without overlap, edges and corners forming in the inner region of the template (Fig. 2) which are suitable as guidelines for writing instruments.
