PURPOSE:To realize the power line carrier communication without using a coupling transformer by connecting a low voltage modulation wave generating logic circuit at the sender side and a low voltage demodulation logic circuit at the receiver side to a power line via a high dielectric element circuit. CONSTITUTION:In receiving a transmission signal to a terminal (b), the signal is fed to a NAND gate 14a through a photocoupler 8 and mixed with a modulation frequency from an oscillation source 13 and subject to frequency modulation, then to apply switching to FETs 15a, 15b of a switching circuit 15 through a NAND gate 4b and the signal subject to pulse width modulation is sent to a power line A through a resonance coil 2 and a coupling capacitor 3. On the other hand, the signal sent from other communication equipment is fetched in a level shift circuit 11, where the level is shifted, the result is demodulated by a demodulation circuit 12 and outputted to a system from the terminal (a) through a photocoupler 7.
