PURPOSE:To prevent abnormal combustion condition, such as red fire, half-burnt or the like, by a method wherein a combustion apparatus is provided with a control means stopping combustion once when an external pressure is detected by an air-pressure switch provided in an exhaust port, reopening the combustion after a predetermined time, and reopening the combustion from a time when the external pressure is reduced. CONSTITUTION:When an external pressure at an exhaust port 16 is increased during combustion to a predetermined value or higher and a second air-pressure switch (SW2) 12 is put ON, a solenoid pump 7 is stopped to stop the combustion while an exhaust fan 5 is switched to 'strong' condition to drive the same for several ten seconds-several minutes and effect after-run. When the external pressure is still higher than the predetermined value after finishing the after-run, the exhaust fan 5 is driven in 'strong' condition and the combustion is reopened with the 'weak' condition of a burner. On the contrary, when the external pressure is reduced during the after-run, the second air-pressure switch (SW2) 12 is put OFF and the combustion is reopened under a condition that the exhaust fan 5 is operated under 'weak' condition and the combustion is effected under the 'strong' condition of the burrner 2. |
