The invention relates to a blocking post (10) for controlled blocking in particular of roadways, the blocking post being arranged either flush with the surface of the roadway or, alternatively, projecting vertically from the latter. The blocking post (10) preferably consists of a square tube (12) in which runs a round tube (14) touching the inner wall (40) of the square tube. The interspace between the square tube and the round tube is preferably filled with concrete.
