PURPOSE:To obtain an image having excellent image sharpness and high mass feeling by specifying at least one of optical reflection densities to a specific value or above an incorporating a specific magenta coupler into a green sensitive emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:At least one of the optical reflection densities at 550nm or 680nm of the silver halide color photographic sensitive material are >=0.50 and at least one of the magenta couplers expressed by formula [M-1] are incorporated into the green sensitive emulsion layer. In formula, Z denotes a nonmetallic atom group a hydrogen atom or group which can be eliminated by reaction with the oxidation of a color developing agent; R' denotes a hydrogen atom or substituent. The image having the excellent image sharpness, the improved color reproducibility and the high mass feeling to give a visually natural impression is thereby obtd.
