A mixing chamber (1) has an exhaust-air inlet (8), an exhaust-air outlet (9), a fresh-air inlet (7) and a supply-air outlet (6). To regulate the amount of circulating air from the exhaust-air inlet (8) and fresh air from the fresh-air inlet (7) at the supply-air outlet (6), there is provided a slide (5) which can move from above rectilinearly into the connection between the exhaust-air inlet (8) and the supply-air outlet (6). <IMAGE>
