PURPOSE:To obtain a mold clamping device which can control parallelism between a movable platen and stationary platen at high precision and easily, by a method wherein the movable platen is fixed to a pusher rod provided on the tip of a screw mechanism for mold clamping by interposing a jack bolt capable of controlling a slope of the movable platen. CONSTITUTION:When a servomotor is driven, mold clamping or mold break is performed by approaching or separating a movable platen to or from a stationary platen by a screw mechanism 12 for the mold clamping. In this instance, when the movable platen 6 and stationary platen are not in parallel with each other, a fixing bolt 18 is slackened and a slope of the movable platen 6 is either controlled or corrected by moving jack bolts 16 each respectively. With this construction, parallelism between both the platens is restored and a pusher rod 13 and the movable platen 6 are fixed with a fixing bolt 18 again. When a screw pitch of the jack bolts 16 each are made small, control of the parallelism can be performed with high precision. |
