The invention relates to a roving-guide device, with a guide element arranged between two pairs of rollers 1, 2 at a workstation of a spinning machine. This guide element is a roving-guide channel of variable length, which is fastened between the two pairs of rollers 1, 2 and the end regions of which project respectively into the nip of the two pairs of rollers 1, 2. This roving-guide channel can be formed by two tubes 9, 10 which are guided telescopically one in the other, are pressed apart by the force of a spring 11 and are clamped between the two pairs of rollers 1, 2. <IMAGE>
