PURPOSE:To both cut a square pipe and perform its edge preparation, by fixing the square pipe and revolving two rotary cutters opposed to each other around the periphery of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:A pipe A is fixed to a certain position. Two rotary cutters 10, 10 of equal shape, while they are rotated on their own axes, are revolved to move respectively in the direction of an arrow head P along the periphery of a cut section of the pipe A placed in the stationary position. Here the two rotary cutters 10, 10 are allowed to always hold a polar symmetrical position with respect to the center O of the pipe A. The shape of the cut section of the pipe A is restricted by the shape of a cutting edge face of the rotary cutter 10, and the pipe A can be cut in any desired shape of the section of edge preparation. |
