An exhaust gas recirculation system has a vacuum controlled valve (16) in the recirculation passage (14). The vacuum for operating the valve is supplied from the intake manifold (10) and is regulated by [a] a modified vacuum signal (30) provided from a closed loop electronic vacuum regulator (32), and [b] pressure signals picked up from opposite sides of a restriction (26) placed in the recirculation passage. |
