<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate unstable carrying of transfer materials and to prevent contamination of a fixing roller, by electrostatically charging the transfer materials in accordance with the relation between the transfer materials and induced charges on the fixing roller and, at the same time,by setting the transfer materials against the fixing roller after guiding the materials with a conductive guide member after charging. CONSTITUTION:A carrying device 11 carries a transfer material in such a state that the transfer material is adhered to a carrying belt 11B with a sucking device 11C. While the transfer material is carried, the material is faced to a guide plate 13 by electrostatically charging to (-) pole of the same pole as polarity of the charge generating a fixing roller 10A with an electrifier 12. The transfer material S is moved while it is brought into contact with the guide plate 13, but since charges of the polarity opposite to the polarity of the transfer material S are induced to the guide plate 13, the transfer material S is brought into a fixing device 10 in a state where the material S is attracted to the guide plate 13. Upon arriving at the fixing device 10, since the toner on the surface of the transfer material is repelled against the charges on the surface of the roller 10A, the transfer material S is subjected to heat-fixing in a state where no toner adheres to the fixing roller 10A. Therefore, the transfer material S can be carried in a stable state and the roller 10A can be prevented from being contaminated.</p> |
