<p>This device comprises a positive clutch (51) formed from interacting, complementary male elements (512) and female elements (511) which are carried, in one case, by a hub (11) integral with the steering wheel and, in the other case, by an end piece (21) of the shaft and which are shaped so as to have a series of cylindrical, peripheral bearing surfaces (513) and so as to create, between two successive bearing surfaces, radial catches (514) which define between them protuberances (512) engaged in recesses (511), and centrifugal-expansion means (522) housed directly at least partially in this end piece (21) in order to cause a radial expansion of the series of male bearing surfaces (513) so as to obtain normally an immobilisation by friction of the hub (11) on the end piece (21) and, exceptionally, a locking in rotation by contact of the catches. …<IMAGE>… </p> |
