<p>A radioactivity detection system including a crystal detector (76) formed of a unitary body and having two sensing heads (86, 86). Each sensing head (86) defines a specific address location in a sensing array (74) having a plurality of detectors (78). A number of detectors (78) are superposed on the sensing array (74) such that activity in one sensing head (86) activates two adjacent detectors (78), one more than the other. The system further includes means (14) for mounting the detectors for relative motion with respect to a subject and processing means (20) coupled to the detectors. Preferably, the mounting means (14) is operatively connected to an exercising means (12) for stress analysis. Preferably, the mounting means (14) is secured on a movable platform (28) and is connected to the exercising means by a quick connect-disconnect mechanism (32). In a further embodiment, a detector assembly is designed for rotation (40, 42, 44) about the subject.</p> |
