PURPOSE:To reduce noise and enhance print quality, by a method wherein guide shafts for a carrier carrying a printing head of a wire impact type serial printer thereon are supported by a frame formed from a ferrite composite material. CONSTITUTION:The guide shafts 3, 4 for guiding the carrier 2 firmly carrying the printing head 1 thereon in the spacing direction are fixedly supported by the frame 5 formed by a ferrite composite material. A material consisting of a ferrite and an organic resin, having a density of (30-35)X10<3>kg/cm<3>, a Young's modulus of (18-27)X10<9>N/m<2> and a logarithmic decrement of 0.04-0.06, extremely high in damping characteristics and excellent in external vibration shielding characteristics and impact vibration damping characteristics is preferably used as a ferrite composite material. |
