PURPOSE:To lengthen the life of an oil-containing bearing by impregnating the entire hole portions with a lubricating medium after a washing process to form a stable oil film between the oilcontaing bearing and a shaft. CONSTITUTION:In a process of removing an impregnated etching agent 5, a bearing 1 is again washed by water or a washing agent composed of an organic solvent, and the etching agent 5 is removed and dried. A porous bearing 1 has small holes of a shallow layer hole portion 4 of the bearing surface portion 2 and a shallow layer portion 3 and large holes 7 of a deep layer portion 6. The entire hole portion of the bearing 1 is uniformly impregnated with under- rolling oil. Thus, a stable oil film is formed by impregnating the entire hole portion with a lubricating medium after the above washing process, so that the life of the oil-containg bearing can be lengthened.
