PURPOSE:To improve S/N by using a planer lateral vibration of a composite piezoelectric substance where lots of pillar piezoelectric substances are imbedded into the sheet face of an organic sheet perpendicularly. CONSTITUTION:A PZT group ceramic plate 22 in a thickness of 0.5mm polarized uniformly in the thickness direction is adhered onto a ferrite base 21 by electron wax and polished till the thickness reaches 0.1mm. An epoxy resin is packed in the cut lines C, the electron wax is molten after the resin is solidified and removed from the ferrite substrate 21. Aluminum is vapor-deposited to both sides of a composite piezoelectric sheet 31 obtained in this way to obtain an electrode, a disk, 30mmphi thick is cut out, adhered to a torus 32 fixing the circumference to fix the circumference and leads wires 33 are fitted. Thus, the vibration of the composite piezoelectric substance in the planer lateral direction is utilized and high sensitivity and high S/N are obtained up to a frequency band far lower than the thickness vibration mode.
