BREATHER DEVICE FOR VERTICAL ENGINE

PURPOSE:To prevent the suction of oil from a blow-by gas inlet in a vertical engine by placing the blow-by gas inlet in the rear of an oil splasher in relation to the rotating direction of a crankshaft. CONSTITUTION:A cam gear 19 provided on the cam shaft 16 of a vertical engine is engaged with a small diameter gear 20 installed on a crankshaft 9, and drives an oil splasher 21 provided in the vicinity of the crankshaft 9. The oil splasher 21 is rotatably installed on an L-shaped bracket 23 installed on the bottom part in a crankcase 1 and scrapes up oil in the crankcase 1 in the arrow (b) direction. A blow-by gas inlet 34 is placed in the rear of the oil splasher 21 viewing from the rotating direction of the crankshaft 9, and introduces a blow-by gas into a breather chamber 31.
