PURPOSE:To adjust the phase stably over a wide range even to a high speed signal of several Gb/S or over by using a parallel tuning circuit comprising a field effect transistor (TR) and a varactor diode so as to adjust the phase of an input signal thereby compensating the position deviation in a phase adjustment circuit. CONSTITUTION:Resistors 3, 4 are connected respectively to a source and the a drain of the field effect TR 2 whose gate connects to an input terminal 1, a parallel tuning circuit 6 comprising a varactor diode 7 and an inductance 8 is connected between the drain and an output terminal 5, a resistor 9 and an inductance 10 are connected between the source and the output terminal 5 to set largely the resistance of the resistor 4 in comparison with the resistor 3. The phase of the signal fed to the input terminal 1 is adjusted corresponding to the capacitance change in the varactor diode 7 and outputted from the output terminal 5. A stray capacitance is connected to a resistor 9 between the source and output with respect to a high speed signal of several Gb/S or over, the phase adjusting range is made narrow, but the inductance 10 is connected in parallel with the resistor 9 to cancel the stray capacitive component thereby widening the phase adjustment range.
