PURPOSE:To make it possible to regulate the characteristic simply after sealing up by sending a specific current to a contact spring for a specific time after the sealing up. CONSTITUTION:From outer terminals 3 and 4 which have a fixed contact spring 2 with a contact 2a and a movable contact spring 1 with a contact 1a, respectively, a specific current is sent for a specific time. As a result, the contact spring 1 is heated. Especially at a preliminarily bent part 1b, the heating is larger because the conductive resistance is high there owing to the processing distortion, and the preliminary bending angle is reduced. Consequently, the load characteristic is varied, and the performance of the relay can be improved.
