MANUFACTURE OF IMPLOSION-PROOF CATHODE-RAY TUBE

摘要

PURPOSE:To make it possible to prevent the image distortion and to improve the productivity and to prevent the implosion of a cathode-ray tube with a light weight structure by providing a transparent hard coating layer of resin group on a resin layer provided on the outer surface of the face plate portion of the CRT. CONSTITUTION:A resin is injected into the gap between the outer surface of the face plate portion of a cathode-ray tube and a surface-shaped mold along the said outer surface, and after setting of the resin the mold is removed to provide a resin layer 3a on the outer surface of the face plate portion. A trans parent hard coating layer 4 made of resin group is provided on the said resin layer 3a. Thereby an implosion-proof CRT with high implosion-protectivity and high productivity and without image distortion and of light weight and easy for material management and manufacture and able to prevent implosion can be obtained.
