COLOR PICTURE PROCESSING METHOD

PURPOSE:To execute the color correction with high accuracy and under-color removal by obtaining undesired absorption density in response to the input picture density and applying the under-color removal taking the undesired absorption density into account. CONSTITUTION:Each color measuring signal is inputted to a density-coverage converter 2 through a logarithmic amplifier 1 and converted into an output picture signal corresponding to the dot area ratio. The output picture signal enters a coverage undesired absorption density converter 3 and converted into three set of undesired absorption density signals. The undesired absorption density signal enters a under-color removal quantity decision circuit 4, to which the result of discrimination from a minimum value discrimination circuit 5 is inputted. An output signal of the minimum value discrimination circuit 5 and an under-color removal coefficient obtained by the under-color removal quantity decision circuit 4 enter a under-color removal-picture output signal decision circuit 6. The under-color removal-picture output signal decision circuit 6 and a black/white picture output signal decision circuit 7 output a color picture output signal.
