PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of an endoscope due to natural falling and to safely keep the endoscope, by providing a natural falling obstruction means for obstructing the natural falling of a holding means when the fixing means of the hanger for the endoscope is released. CONSTITUTION:A friction ring 13 is provided on the upper end part of a support pipe 1 so as to be closely adhered to the outer periphery of a movable pipe 2. This friction ring 13 is arranged in the space inside the cylindrical part 8 of a taper pipe 7 and formed into a C-shape planar configuration having a slit 15 provided thereto longitudinally using a synthetic resin having elasticity as a material. A recessed groove 16 is formed to the almost intermediate part of the outer periphery of the friction ring 13 over the entire periphery thereof and an elastic member composed of a coil spring 17 is arranged in the recessed groove 16 so as to inwardly clamp the friction ring 13. Therefore, the friction ring 13 is clamped by the elastic force of the coil spring 17 and the friction force generated between the friction ring 13 and the movable pipe 2 acts so as to stand against the falling of the movable pipe 2.
