PURPOSE:To simplify an operation to change a polygonal line even in case the relative relation between two variates has the variance, by using a means which obtains a polygonal line and a rewitable memory that stores the data on the polygonal line. CONSTITUTION:A broken line approximating to a curve showing the relative relation between two variates is obtained and data on this polygonal line is stored in a rewritable memory. In other words, a signal detector 10 detects the liquid level of a tank and outputs the level signal to an analog input processing board 4. Then this level signal is supplied to a RAM from the board 4 via a system bus 6. Thus the data on the volume corresponding to the level signal is calculated based on the data on the polygonal line stored in an NV (non-volatile)-RAM and under control of a CPU 1. When a volume data display command signal is supplied from an operation keyboard 8 via a keyboard interface board 9, said data on the volume is displayed on a display device 7 via the bus 6 and a display device interface board 5.
