PURPOSE:To simplify structure, facilitate miniaturization, rapidly increase and reduce temperature and contrive improvement in operating efficiency, by carrying out thermal roasting and reducing of a material to be treated and contained in a thermogenic vessel with heat thereof by microwave heating. CONSTITUTION:Microwaves are supplied from a waveguide 16 into an oven 10. A thermogenic vessel 12 and as lid 28 thereof absorb the microwaves to generate heat, which is mainly used to heat a material 30 to be treated thereon. The outer surface temperature of the thermogenic vessel 12 is measured by an infrared thermometer 18 and application of the microwaves is controlled on the basis of the measured values thereof to regulate heating. Air, N2-H2 gas, CO2 gas, etc., are feed from a gas feed system 14 through an injection port 22 thereinto according to reaction. In the case of Pu.U denitrated substance, roasting is carried out at, e.g. 700-800 deg.C outer surface temperature of the thermogenic vessel 12 with air from the injection port 22 for about 4hr. After completing the roasting.reducing reaction, a cooling gas is fed from the injection port 22 and a cooler 26 on the oven wall surface is simultaneously utilized to quick-cool the interior of the oven. |
