PURPOSE:To recognize the normality of a transmission line by a controller side by outputting a one frame from the controller while one bit is set and returning said bit as it is from the equipment to be controlled in the repetitive process. CONSTITUTION:A controller 1 transmits a signal and a data to an equipment 2 to be controlled. The data is outputted normally while one bit is set to ON. The equipment 2 returns said bit as it is. The equipment 2 to be controlled processes the transmitted signal and data and returns it to the controller 1 again. While the controller 1 can normally confirm the set ON bit in the received signal and data, it is discriminated that the transmission line is normal and when it is not confirmed, it is regarded as the occurrence of an fault.
