PURPOSE:To aim at weigh reduction and improved corrosion resistance of an intake manifold by providing an aluminum made or aluminum alloy made corrosion resisting layer on the inner circumferential surface of a conduit, for exhaust gas recirculation, of a magnesium alloy made intake manifold. CONSTITUTION:A magnesium alloy made intake manifold 1 has a distribution pipe connected to an air cleaner, four branch pipes 4 which are branched from the distribution pipe and connected to cylinders for an engine and a conduit 5 for exhaust gas recirculation which is integral with the branch pipes 4. The outlets 8 of a gas passage 6 are opened to intake ports 9. Parts 4a from upper stream sides in the neighborhood of the outlets 8 of branch pipes 4 to the engine and the conduit 5 construct a tube-like portion T for forming the recirculation circuit of exhaust gas and a corrosion resisting film C made of aluminum alloy is provided on the inner surface of the tube-like portion T.
