PURPOSE:To form a color image by single-time exposure by sticking light- transmissive color toner on a photosensitive body and performing image exposure, and transferring the toner which is weakened in electrostatic attractive force by the exposure with the photosensitive body to a developing roller. CONSTITUTION:A sublimatable dye is dispersed in transparent resin the light- transmissive color toner 5. The toner 5 is stuck on the photosensitive body 2 electrostatically. Then the toner 5 is layered by a pet roll 6 and exposed to light 20 through a color filter 8. The light-transmissive cyan, magenta, and yellow toner particles 5 are weakened differently in sticking force with the photosensitive body 2 with transmitted light from the filter 8. Then the toner 5 which loses the sticking force with the photosensitive body 2 is developed by a pet roller 10, and transferred to transfer paper 12 to form a color image. Thus, the image is formed by using the light-transmissive toner, so that structure of of a color printer or copying machine is made simple and small in size.
