PURPOSE:To facilitate the measurement of a pressure of a volatile gas, by measuring the weight of a pressure transmission rod piercing an airtight container with a weight gauge. CONSTITUTION:An upper side wall of an airtight container 1 is provided with an opening 6 and a pressure transmission rod 7 is put through to be connected to a weight gauge 8. The pressure transmission rod 7 is made vertically movable through the opening 6 and an airtight sealing is made between the pressure transmission rod 7 and the airtight container 1. As pressure within the airtight container 1 increases or decreases, the reading of the weight gauge 8 goes up or down as the pressure transmission rod 7 is pushed up in the direction of pressure. Changes in the reading of the weight gauge 8 are translated into those in the pressure within the airtight container 1, thereby enabling direct measurement of pressure in the airtight container 1.
